This touched me.

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind.
She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, “If only I could see the world, I will marry you”.

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend. He asked her “will you marry me?”.
The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind.
The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her.
She hadn’t expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.

Her boyfriend left her in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying: “Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine”.

This is how the human brain often works when our status changes.
Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations.

Life Is a gift
Today before you say an unkind word –
Think of someone who can't speak. Before you complain about the taste of your food – Think of someone who has nothing to eat.
Before you  complain about your husband or wife – Think of someone who’s crying out to ALMIGHTY GOD for a companion.

Today before you complain about life – Think of someone who died too young. Before you complain about your children – Think of someone who desires children but they’re barren.
Before you argue about your dirty house someone didn’t clean or sweep – Think of some people who are living on the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive, think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job – Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job. But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another -  Remember that not one of us is without sin and we all answer to one MAKER.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down – Put a smile on your face and then GOD you’re alive and still around.  I am sharing this as it might change someone’s thinking towards life.

Remain blessed.

Never give up

Hello Everyone

I have been quiet for a while… not by choice but obligations that required dedicated time.

Growing up, I always envisioned that one day I would be a successful business women, but without  education this wasn’t possible and it would remain a dream until I do something about it.

I loved numbers while at school and always had a passion for Accounting, that is why this field of career was  well suited to pursue in formally educating myself. So last year I’ve made a decision to study part time and complete my formal education.
I knew that the journey ahead was going to be a though one, more so,  because I was a wife, mother and have a household to run, but I also knew, that  come what may – I will complete it!

The staying up late nights was grueling – having to be able to start studying in the evenings when my kids was sleeping and trying to do a few things around the house.

Taking the books  would vary from anything between 9pm – 10pm. By then, after a full the day at the office I was beyond tired.

My motivation and determination gave me energy to stay up until the early hours of the morning to do what needed to be done.  I learned to manage time and find a balance. I saw all the other part time students at my class was also Mom’s and they did it.

At the end when I was getting accustomed to the late nights, assignment deadlines and nervous exam days.  At the end I was doing it, getting the hang of this .

I had tremendous support from my husband and family which I cannot do without.
A  year has gone by, and I extremely proud to day that I have successfully completed my first year with beyond average results!

Now I'm looking to start  my second year!   All Glory to God for His Grace and unending favor!

NEVER GIVE UP!

PALMER'S Skin Therapy Oil

Hello Lovelies

It's been a while since I’ve done a blog post.. I have been so busy lately and waited until I have decent time available to write.

How awesome is this product from Palmer's!!!   Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil.

A few months ago, I wasn’t happy with the condition of my face – it appeared dry, dull and definitely lacking something. I saw Palmer’s Skin Therapy Oil and decided to research it and what I found was exactly what I needed.

So I went out hunting for the product, and luckily for me the hunt was effortless  as I found the last one on a shelf at my closest Dischem. I was really excited to try out the product and even though you can only clearly see results from using a skincare product after using it for a couple of weeks or so.

I could immediately feel the difference after one application. You know, sometimes you come across a product or something and just know… this is it! Well, this was it for me. I wasn’t  surprise at all, when after two weeks I could clearly see huge difference.

The formula is light and non-greasy  and you only need to apply a small amount and massage it into your face and neck. (Remember to always use your choice of preferred  sunscreen.)

The product serves as a Skin perfector – Beauty oil and Multi-Tasker.

Transform you skin with a powerful blend of 10 pure precious oils,
Sweet Almond oil, Sesame oil, Coconut oil, Macadamia Nut oil, Apricot oil, Grape seed oil, Argan oil, Rosehip oil, Camelina oil and Sunflower oil.

My skin appeared more fresh, rejuvenated and it looked and feels healthy.  This products REALLY helps to improve the appearance of:

  Fine lines & wrinkles
  Dark spots
  Uneven skin tone
  Aging skin
Skin restorative oils along with natural Cocoa Butter, Retinol and Vitamin C deliver multi-purpose, anti-aging skin benefits. 10 Pure oils help to moisturize and smooth fine lines and wrinkles while Retinol and Vitamin C help improve and brighten tone and texture.

Lightweight, non-greasy formula absorbs quickly and the Cetesomate E Complex helps deliver all of the essential vitamins and nutrients directly into the epidermal layer of the skin.
Skin looks younger-looking with a more glowing and firm appearance.

This product is simply amazing!! Go ahead and try it out for yourself.

Healing Hands

In what condition are your hands? Over the years I have develop a habit of taking extra special care of my hands.

I use to moisturize after every hand wash and  just keep my hands moist overall. It has been said that a woman’s age can be determined by her hands – fact or myth, I don’t know.  But what I do know, is that a woman is even more attractive when her hands are in mint condition.

There  are a variety of small things you can do to improve your hands without taking a lot of time out of your day.
I have a bottle of lotion in my bag, at my desk at work, and place lotions in my bathrooms, so that I can easily apply lotion after a hand wash.

I have rarely go for hand treatments, but  treat my hands with inexpensive products that really works – like olive or coconut oil.

Another great tip is when you exfoliate your face to use the excess product and exfoliate your hands. You can do the same with your facial moisturizes you use.

Healthy cuticles lead to healthy nails.

Simple things can make a big difference, and your hand care should be similar to any other beauty routine.  There are various hand treatments available like hand masks and paraffin wax treatments.

This is what I am using currently - Healing Hands.

Healing Hands with Lanolin and Vitamin E,  repairs and enhances the skin's moisture barrier, providing lasting hydration and smoothness.

The pure Lanolin makes this product rich and nourishing for soft, supple hands.
This product is has been specially formulated for doctors, dentists, nurses and all those who frequently wash their hands.

A must have!

Find that works for you and be consistent.

My Mangwanani Day

One of the best memories of 2015 would definitely be when I was chosen as a Brand Ambassador for Mangwanani African Spa.

I’ve always had a love for Massages and beauty treatments. One of my best methods of relaxation is when I am having any kind of Massage treatment.

Sometimes, when I look at my almost 4 year old daughter and see the excitement when she receives something she really wanted or when we take her to the beach, it totally overwhelms her! She’s then beyond herself – it makes my heart melt. I can now relate.

I guess that is the same kind of excitement I experience when I know I'm going for a Massage treatment.

I was over the moon when the day finally arrived and we had to go and enjoy our African Revitalizing Spa Treatment! You get pampered for a whole day!!!!  Seriously!!

We arrived at the Zvenwacht Mangwanani by 8h30 and was welcomed with the beautiful sound of Traditional African singing and drumming.

We were then escorted to the changing rooms and slipped into our gowns and slippers, which we spent the entire day in.  We headed over to the restaurant to enjoy a healthy breakfast before we headed off to our first pamper session.

I was so excited – almost felt like a child let loose in a candy shop!
We were pampered with three of our 7 treatments – Each one was heaven and I fell in and out of naps in between, because I never felt so totally relaxed and spoiled!

These ladies are so professional and each treatment we received was so well executed and detailed.  By the time the first three treatments was done, it was lunch time.
We had a choice between three delicious meals and chose the fish option.

After the enjoyment of our scrumptious meal and delicious dessert, we enjoyed the rest of our treatments!  Our treatments included the following:

UBUSO – Revitalizing Facial Spa with pressure point massage.

TLHAPISO – Spa Body Treatment – You have a choice of body wash, exfoliation or body brushing.

IZIMANGA – Traditional Full Body Massage with hot stone. Hot Stones and a blend of essential oils and lemongrass are placed on the body and a creeme & almond oil infusion melt into the skin, leaving you feeling Refreshed, Revitalized and Re-energized.

MOLALA – African Head, Neck & Shoulders Massage with sesame seed oil.

NEO MAOTO – Traditional African Royal Foot Massage (from toes to knees) – Here tired feet are soaked in a Fresh Petal Oil Bath, then scrubbed with sugar, herbs and almond oil and finally treated to sesame seed oil and a light pressure point massage.

NEO MATSOGO – Traditional African Royal Hand Massage (from fingers to elbows), Rose petal water cleansing, sugar and grape seed oil scrub followed by pressure point stress relieving massage.

JACUZZI – The Jacuzzi was so much fun! It was very private, so you could enjoy it to the max.

A day like this should really on  one’s bucket/to-do list. We have such busy lives and I think everyone should at least treat themselves  a loved one, friend or someone you think deserves it,  to something like this every now and then.

Please visit Mangwanani website here www.mangwanani.co.za to see available packages
 which will suit you.
