Time Is Precious
Somehow I’ve found it
a bit difficult to put this on paper, probably more for the fact that there are so much
going on in my head. But this fact about time being so precious has been on
my mind of late so much.
I am sure we all have
heard this phrase and quote and given it some though over time. When we
suddenly loose a loved one or someone we are acquainted with suddenly loses
his/her life without any warning. These thoughts consumes our minds for a
while.. We then come to the realization that tomorrow is not promised and how
precious time really is.
I guess my “A ha moment” came when I realized that I
need to starting fulfilling my goals and dreams and that I need to start now
and stop procrastinating and finding some or other excuse to delay it every
time. I pondered and realized how much time I
have wasted and how I could have consumed the precious time that’s now
lost forever.
I quickly realized
okay, so I wasted it, it's gone, but I'm not going to waste any more time going
back into past and crying over spilled milk. I am using my time wisely now, spending
it on things that makes me happy and I am chasing my dreams, pursuing my goals.
Living life and enjoying every moment.
So whether its relationships, goals, dreams or whatever
is that we are wasting our precious time on, and not doing what we want, what
we dream of - Do it now, it's not too
late. Life is short, fragile and does not wait for anyone. There will NEVER be
a perfect time to pursue your dreams and goals.
I came across this
Quote :
Quote:
"Imagine
there is a bank account that credits your account each morning with $86,400. It
carries over no balance from day to day. Every evening the bank deletes
whatever part of the balance you failed to used during the day. What would you
do? Draw out every cent, of course? Each of us has such a bank, its name is
time. Every morning, it credits you 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off
at a lost, whatever of this you failed to invest to a good purpose. It carries
over no balance. It allows no over draft. Each day it opens a new account for
you. Each night it burns the remains of the day. If you fail to use the day's
deposits, the loss is yours. There is no drawing against 'tomorrow.' You must
live in the present on today's deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the
utmost in health, happiness, and health. The clock is running. Make the most of
today."
