Finally,

My much anticipated visit to the Cullinan Spa Boutique has materialized, and it was definitely worth the wait.

The Spa Boutique is located in the heart of the buzzing Cape Town and interacts through the magnificent Cullinan Hotel.

On a chilly winters day, we arrived at the Spa boutique and were warmly welcomed by the Spa Manager, Anjana. We were escorted upstairs to change into our warm robes, ready for our treatment.  After attempting to take a few selfies (yet to master the art of good selfies ), we headed over the treatment area for our 45 minute  hand massages.

The Spa Boutique is absolutely gorgeous, and decorated with the most beautiful art and décor.

Once again, the ladies were excellent with the task at hand. My husband and I was so relaxed and could not believe that merely a hand massage would have that type of relaxation effect on the body.

Hello Everyone

It's been a while since I’ve written..

May this Year be filled with love, Joy and happiness. Dream big and live everyday as if it is your last.

Last night my husband had the time of our lives! We went on the Moonlight Night Spa offered at Mangwanani Africa Spa!

We went to the Cape Winelands branch located at the Stellenbosch Farmers Wine Valley. The  new improved facility offers a  in-door hot mineral pool, beautiful conservatories and endless views across the valley and vineyards to the Stellenbosch Mountain Range.

 Let me say…. If ever there is something that you need to do, it is THIS..

We arrived at the Spa and were welcome with the most delicious snacks, whereby we changed into our comfy gowns and slippers. I was looking forward to the evening, as I haven't had any leave and was in need of some good pampering.

The Moonlight Night Spa offers 3 luxurious treatments.

ZIMANGA – Traditional Full Body Massage with Hot Stones
MOLALA – African Head, Neck & Shoulders Massage
NEO MAOTO – Traditional African Royal Foot Massage (from toes to knees)

First up was our full Body Massage – YAY!!!

The Spa Therapist was on point – adding the right amount of pressure where needed and then using the Hot Stones the smelt away the last bit of tension.

We were then spoiled with scrumptious dinner – perfectly fitted for the hot weather and most delicious, desert  followed :) Traditional African drum beating and songs were sang while we were enjoying desert!

Our next two treatments followed which was totally heaven!!

Just when in thought the therapist who did my foot massage won best massage, I was blown away with the therapist who did my neck, shoulders and head massage. Needless to say that I have put both therapist down as my favorite.

Mangwanani Africa Spa really cares about your experience at their facilities. They have a card that you complete rating the Spa Therapists and your overall experience.  They do follow up if there was something that your where not happy with.

This touched me.

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind.

She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, “If only I could see the world, I will marry you”.

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend. He asked her “will you marry me?”.

The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. 

The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. 

She hadn’t expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.

Her boyfriend left her in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying: “Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine”.

This is how the human brain often works when our status changes.

Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations.

Life Is a gift

Today before you say an unkind word –

Think of someone who can't speak. Before you complain about the taste of your food – Think of someone who has nothing to eat. 

Before you  complain about your husband or wife – Think of someone who’s crying out to ALMIGHTY GOD for a companion.

Today before you complain about life – Think of someone who died too young. Before you complain about your children – Think of someone who desires children but they’re barren.

Before you argue about your dirty house someone didn’t clean or sweep – Think of some people who are living on the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive, think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job – Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job. But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another -  Remember that not one of us is without sin and we all answer to one MAKER.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down – Put a smile on your face and then GOD you’re alive and still around.  I am sharing this as it might change someone’s thinking towards life.

Hello Everyone

I have been quiet for a while… not by choice but obligations that required dedicated time.

Growing up, I always envisioned that one day I would be a successful business women, but without  education this wasn’t possible and it would remain a dream until I do something about it.

I loved numbers while at school and always had a passion for Accounting, that is why this field of career was  well suited to pursue in formally educating myself. So last year I’ve made a decision to study part time and complete my formal education.

I knew that the journey ahead was going to be a though one, more so,  because I was a wife, mother and have a household to run, but I also knew, that  come what may – I will complete it!

The staying up late nights was grueling – having to be able to start studying in the evenings when my kids was sleeping and trying to do a few things around the house.

Taking the books  would vary from anything between 9pm – 10pm. By then, after a full the day at the office I was beyond tired.

My motivation and determination gave me energy to stay up until the early hours of the morning to do what needed to be done.  I learned to manage time and find a balance. I saw all the other part time students at my class was also Mom’s and they did it. 

At the end when I was getting accustomed to the late nights, assignment deadlines and nervous exam days.  At the end I was doing it, getting the hang of this .

 I had tremendous support from my husband and family which I cannot do without.

A  year has gone by, and I extremely proud to day that I have successfully completed my first year with beyond average results!

Now I'm looking to start  my second year!   All Glory to God for His Grace and unending favor!
